The choice of aggregate industry
We provide all kinds of crushing machines including stationary crusher and mobile crusher
A waterjet utilizes a high pressure stream of water to erode a narrow line in the stock material. To cut a wider range of materials from tool steel to titanium to foam, a granular (typically garnet) abrasive is added to the waterjet, increasing the cutting power.
Abrasive waterjet (AWJ) machining is a technique in which high-speed waterjet nozzles eject abrasive particles to erode work piece material after impact (Fig. 10). To enhance the waterjet, abrasive particles are added to the liquid and pressurized up to 400 MPa, forcing them out at a speed of 900 m/s through 0.1–0.4 mm diamond or sapphire ...
Abrasive Water Jet Processes . Water Jet Machining (invented ~ 1970) • A waterjet consists of a pressurized jet of water exiting a small orifice at extreme velocity. Used to cut soft materials such as foam, rubber, cloth, paper, food products, etc . • Typically, the

Apr 10, 2020 Abrasive Waterjet Cutting. In abrasive water jet machining, a specialized pump is used to pressurize water as high as 94,000 psi. At the cutting head, the pressurized water passes through a jewel orifice, exchanging the pressure for velocity and creating a supersonic stream of water capable of cutting nearly any material.
The abrasive waterjet process does not affect material properties, so the efficiency of conventional processes is not degraded. The close nesting capability of the OMAX maximizes material utilization. In addition, the OMAX is effective in many advanced and non-traditional materials where conventional processing may be a challenge.

Abrasive water jet cutting is a process using special tools capable of slicing into metal or other materials using a jet of water at a high velocity and pressure, or by using a mixture of water and an abrasive substance. Due to the self-cooling attributes and lack of an ignition source, abrasive cutting is a safer method of cutting in ...

Abrasive waterjet cutting is a prime example. Understanding all the costs associated with the abrasive waterjet process—and especially how these costs apply to the intended application—isn’t as straightforward as it might seem.
Selecting the right abrasive type and size for a waterjet cutting application (see Figure 1) can make a significant difference in the performance and profitability of equipment.. Abrasive selection begins with an examination of the material and the cutting specifications.
Abrasive Water Jet Machining (AWJM) is one of the non-conventional machining processes which make use of high water pressure to be converted into jet of high velocity mixed with abrasive particles. It has capability to cut a large variety of materials ranging from softer materials such as wood, plastics, etc. to harder materials such as Inconel.
