An M4 Isa Mill TM has been successfully commissioned at iThemba LABS by a team from the University of Cape Town, Xstrata Technology and Anglo Platinum. Xstrata Technology (XT) has celebrated the sale of the 100 th IsaMill TM into the global mineral processing industry. The mill was one of four large 3 MW, M10,000 IsaMills installed in South Africa at projects operated by Anglo American Platinum (AAP), two of which are partnered with Xstrata Alloys and African Rainbow Minerals.

The demolition site was located north of and adjacent to the existing operating and SAG mills in the copper concentrator facilities.
